As art director I am responsible for not only the club’s branding, but out special event branding as well. Any social or print you see that doesn’t follow the general brand guidelines, is a special event. Special events are thoughtfully branded by the current art director. For special events the art director is tasked to create simple brand assets to be temporarily used to promote the big event (logos, colors, fonts). When these events happen, we hype it up on social and print, turning all of the branding to reflect the branding assets for the event coming up. We find that this gets our members and students super excited!

Event: Rush 2026
Overall Theme: Your creative escape 

Robertson Rush is a creative competition for students involved in advertising, with a real agency and client. You have less than 72 hours from the pitch to when you present. The client and agency is not revealed till the day of the brief. The experience provides students with new connections, growth, and experience.

Event: rammys
OVERALL THEME: SPRING JAZZ

The Rammys is a formal student award show. Any dues paying VCU student can submit their work to the competition. It’s held at the end of the year and judged by a hand picked panel of judges whom are professionals in the industry. Think Grammys….. but make it VCU.
