what's with the bold branding?
Well….. I’m glad you asked! I’ve always believed every good art director starts by thinking like a strategist. I asked people I knew that were not coming to events or getting involved; why? The answer was plain and simple. The org felt too “boring”. People felt intimidated. Uninspired. After researching and much trial and error I found a solution; make it ALL about the people. Stop all the random clip art graphics. No more boring colors. And no more identity without meaning. Make it about the community, what you can get from it, not just what you can take. With this branding and approach, our average event turnout TRIPLED. Ad Club became well.. less scary. People showed up. People found community. We grew. My biggest take away from this experience is that people centered branding speaks. A good brand starts with how it makes people feel.
